Laboring with Lyndsey

Lyndsey Litke ,Certified Birth Doula

About Me

My journey to becoming a birth doula all started with a phone call from my sister when she was 36 weeks pregnant because she was just informed she needed an emergency C-section. At the time I wasn’t sure or why I was asking her providers and nurses the type of question I was asking, I just thought I was trying to protect my sister. Fast forward to fall of 2017 and I was looking into doula internships in Connecticut. I completed a very vigorous internship and became a certified doula Nov. of 2017. I started supporting as many families as I could and hit the ground running. Soon after getting married a year later my husband and I found out we were expecting our first baby and I quickly learned I could not keep up with the client load I was trying to maintain. I transitioned into motherhood and put my doula services on hold. March 2021 we welcomed our daughter to our family and at this point I knew the last missing part of me was serving families again. During my maternity leave I completed my re certification as a birth doula and soon I will be completed my certification to be a breastfeeding educator. I look forward to meeting and serving you and your families.
